Began a 33 year career in Broadcasting as an on the air meteorologist, rising through the management ranks to become the President and General Manager of WFLA-TV, NBC affiliate in Tampa, Fl.  In 1999 Paul left Broadcasting to become the President and CEO of Tampa Bay and Company, a Convention and Visitors Bureau. Under his leadership, Tampa Bay & Company grew in both size and stature, adding over $3 billion annually to the local economy, and it is now recognized as one of the leading economic development engines in the region. He worked closely with his board of directors, the county, the city, and most of all the community to deliver unprecedented results. His team was instrumental in recruiting  a string of big-name conventions and events; including two  Super Bowls, several NCAA championships, the World Dragon Boat Racing Championship, two International Shriner’s Conventions, and the crown jewel, the Republican National Convention in 2012. He retired from Tampa Bay and Company in 2012.
